I think its a really cool idea Wink

Members and visitors are surely going to like it. Who won't like to choose theme/color scheme of their own taste? Razz

I am waiting to see other members replies. Till then, I'll find a way to install theme changer without template editing.

I say no, theme changers are not right for every forum. people think they're extremely cool for some reason, but the additional themes usually end up looking like crap anyway. This is not an original idea, and we would not be the first Forumotion forum to have a successful one, Jalokim's was excellent, he just discarded the idea for some reason. I don't think this site need one because the style is meant for blue and white, not ridiculously ugly colors like green and purple, if different colored versions came along, they would look horrid. If a whole new CSS was designed, it would destroy the purpose of this nice, simple phpBB3 theme.

I don't really know...

Using a theme changer could be very interesting, but just for colors I think.

But, this is not going to be an original idea, and we mustn't go "too far" with this.

What browser are you using? Note that the theme changer is not compatible with Internet Explorer.
And what error does it have on page?

Yes we get errors while using IE. Its due to the javascript in the site description. Ani, i think there should be something to fix it.

I think the error is with IE not the JavaScript Razz
We should not worry about the error unless it creates trouble while surfing.

The error is that IE doesn't support some property or method that we have used in the theme changer JavaScript. I don't think its a big issue and it won't trouble while surging the forum.

It creates popup it seems everytime we surf. Every page we go on, first we get that error. So basically we are driving away IE users.

While I personally believe that sites should just forget about any sort of Internet Explorer compatibility what so ever, the theme changer isn't really that good anyway. Some of the colors are atrocious.

No one likes all the of colors and thats why we have a 'theme changer'.
You can use whatever color you like Very Happy

If we only use the default theme, people who don't like blue color, won't like to visit this forum. With theme changer they can set theme of their favorite color and enjoy surfing Smile

Allright, we have now removed the theme changer due to its incompatibility & browsing issues for IE users. Any inconvenience caused due to this is highly regretted.
