SEO website design is a term that is used to combine the above two aspects. A website owner cannot afford to lose visitors so he will try to use images and at the same time, he cannot lose search engine crawlers and will use text as well.

Plenty of links help with SEO. Its important to keep that crawler on your board visiting as many pages as possible.

A lot of search engines ignore query strings, so you have Apache mod_rewrite module, you can rewrite URL's to be more SEO friendly too.

I believe ALT attributes are were mentioned in the link provided for you, which is important too.

Think of it like this, a search engine spider crawls your board, so it knows what your board is about. So you need to provide it with plenty of tangible information which will tell it just that. Any images, it must know what they are about, which is why the alt attribute plays a big part. Lots of SEO friendly links, not big long query strings, but relevant re-written URL's which make it clear what the page is in the URL. And also, avoid meta redirects. Search engines hate em.

You also need more visitors to climb up the rankings so while pleasing the SEO Bots, you need to please your visitors too!

It doesn’t matter how many links your website has pointing at it, if you don’t offer relevant and captivating content, Google won’t like it and nor will your visitors. Let’s consider the 4 important factors that affect the user experience:
>Page speed
>Calls to action
>Accurate navigation
>Building brand trust
