How to get a Chat Box for Guest
Step 1: Go to xat.com and set up a chat room.
Step 2: Once that is done, go to: ACP>>Display>>Homepage>>Headers & Navigation
Step 3: Once there: Put this as your info
- Code:
Menu: Xat
Picture: *Just google Xat Icons, and put in the img url*
Text: Guest Chat
Redirection URL: *We are about to discuss that*
Step 4: Now, lets talk about the Redirection URL. Do as the following:
- Click Me:
- Go to ACP>>Modules>>Scroll Down>> HTML Management>> New HTML Page
Now, from the page that you made the Xat Chat Room, get the HTML Code, copy it, and then paste it in the HTML Source.
This is the layout:
- Code:
Title: Guest Chat
Do you wish to use your forum header and footer ?: Yes
Use this page as homepage ?: No
Save
Preview it by clicking on the Magnifying glass.
Copy the link.
Now paste it in the Redirection part of the Navigation Layout.
Step 5: The layout should now be:
- Code:
Menu: Xat
Picture: *Just google Xat Icons, and put in the img url*
Text: Guest Chat
Redirection URL: *The HTML Page Link*
Step 6: Now lets move onto the Rights and Display Layout.
- Code:
Rights: make it viewable for only Guest and Admins, and if you want, moderators
Display: *Optional* Open in New Window/Tab
Step 6: Save
