Hello Forum,

I am in the market for a new tablet for my girlfriends 16th birthday present. As I am not a "Graphic Designer" and have no clue on what people look for into a tablet and want this present to be a surprise and her best friend cant know about this, and I know for a fact she doesn't use this forum I am here to ask you on you opinions. So can anyone that uses a tablet help me

Lately, i went with my cousin & his wife to buy a new one.

There are two type of tablets, one with the phone feature & the other one without. So you choose, whether a phone is required or not required. Considering it a tablet, a phone is not that easy to use as its not compact. However, without the phone how will you manage to get the internet connection on it while travelling. Well if you don't intend to use it while travelling, one without the phone feature should be good enough.

First we went & brought a HCL Y2 Tablet, After a day's use itself the tablet used to restart & wasn't as we expected. So we immediately returned it back & brought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Its been working great ever since it was brought. So i would suggest either go for Samsung in Tab's or even an IPad if budget is not a issue.

You nowhere mentioned a graphics tablet. Either ways, the GD is the proper forum for such discussion.
