I m confuse why we used doctype , so tell me what is the use of doctype.

The <!DOCTYPE> declaration is not an HTML tag; it is an instruction to the web browser about what version of HTML the page is written in.

Just always use <!DOCTYPE> so you won't get errors when your using HTML5
