Now a day, there are many web hosting companies for choice. When you are choosing a web hosting company, there are several things you should keep in mind.A good web hosting company will ensure that they have sufficient resources available to provide its users with stability and reliability. Less reputable web hosting companies will host as many as one thousand websites on a single server, without regard for the additional risk of equipment failure that this causes, as well as the reduced traffic capacity for the sites. A good web hosting company will avoid this issue by hosting two hundred to two hundred and fifty websites per server, and not overloading the bandwidth and storage space.Any good web hosting company will be sure to provide a lot of technical help to their customers. Selecting a good web hosting company is more than just comparison shopping for the lowest monthly rate. The level of service provided by the company will have a huge impact on your satisfaction with your choice.

zetaboards or forumotion , either of them's good Wink
But if you're in a mood of buying a domain , then I suggest you to try using
"Godaddy.com"
It offers domains , but yeah , you need to pay for that one , but the zeta and forumotion are free

Depending on your need's really. I currently use Forumotion, but I am switching to JustHost in October. It is £109 for 6 years with unlimited space, bandwidth and a bonus is you get SQL, PHP etc...

You guys really should check out JustHost, It's a great provider with great reviews. Like I said it around £109 with a domain for 6 years, and you get some vouchers for Google etc...

Check it out Here

I have to start looking for a web host real soon. I have to launch my portfolio to display all my web work.

Webhostingpad is one host that I don't recommend. There support is so bad (phone and email). Me and my friend signed up for it, to host our senior project in high school, and had nothing but problems with Webhostingpad (FTP issues, slow speed, account login issues, etc...

Nothing is truly unlimited, Wink.
I recommend registering a domain at co.cc and getting a site at 000webhost.com, both are free.

A co.cc is not recommended for a good website, you don't get very good SEO.

Also, they really are unlimited. Believe me!

Another option is dumping all those nasty web hosting companies, and host your own website. You can use whatever language you want, and the only downside is there is no customer support, :0.
