What is CSS? Learn CSS - Part 1 |
First of all will we start with a shortly explained introduction. But first of all is it important for you to get basic skills in HTML. It's not imposible, but I'll recommend you to have some knowledge about HTML before starting with CSS. After that, can you start your journery in this coding language. What is CSS? By using CSS can you choose how a website should be showen in a browser. The spcificator to CSS are developed by W3C. With CSS are we making stylesheet, there descripes fonts, colors, size etc. Af stylesheet can be used on a site, when it's linked to og written in the body section. It's much easier to understand by reading following points. • CSS means Cascading Style Sheets. • The stylesheet can be placed in a HTML document. • By using the elements and define them in a HTML document, ca we style our page (HTML 4.0 +). • CSS is a layout language. • By using this language is it very easy to style a page. The most important thing is, that the css can do all the work and make it much easy. Try imagine you want to change the background color on many websites, by using CSS can that be done in one place because og the global effect. What do I need? Hopefully do you got everything we need to use. If you got installed window on your pc can you easilie use Notepad that are installed at the start. Notepad is a easy texteditor program to work out HTML or CSS. If you got Unix or Linux can you use Easy Editor og Pico. This was a shortly explanation of CSS, in the next lesson are we going to learn about the syntax. |
