I had this on my forum a while ago, after I found out people were making multiple accounts to vote for themselves, to prevent this, I made a rule that you had to have 25 posts to vote, I suggest WebArtz does it too (:

Thats why you have to check all IP when voting just to be a little more secure.
But if people are that deseperate they can jump that rule to. :/

Sure, why not? An added security measure here and there won't hurt anyone, and I strongly believe that before you vote for anything at all, you should establish yourself in the community before claiming that you have a voice in something. Its fair, reasonable, and just; in my opinion.

That's a good idea, but it takes away the ability from the new members. You have to look at it from both perspectives. Mind you though, it wouldn't take long to get 25 posts. As long as they don't spam, they'll easily get 25 posts.
