I recently had read a great article from the New York Times.
Basically, it concerns unrealistic optimism in both doctors and patients in the field of extensive medicine and research such as oncology where patients’ lives hang in a delicate balance.
Doctors are said to convince themselves on the same optimism and were hesitant to probe their patients any further.
It brings up a good question. In your opinion, can too much positivity be just as detrimental as too much negativity?
