It's been said that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. That the path to hell is a straight one. An easy and comfortable path, that many don't realize they are headed down. A place not meant for anyone. A place that didn't have to be until we made it a reality.
What offers justification to be sent to hell? Even well-intentioned or well-meaning people can go to hell. It's not enough to just believe in something good, the actions you take have to be correct. Sacrificing one life to save hundreds, but is it justified? Utilitarianism seems logical only in politics.
You could be a good law abiding citizen and still be sent there because of your lack of faith (Read 23 Minutes in Hell). You could be the most religious and pious person but still find yourself in Hell for your failure to realize your misgivings ("You will call me Lord and I will say I never knew you" - Bible, Matthew 7:23). Even the young and innocent unbaptized babies may find themselves in hell.
Do you think that you could end up in hell because of a single mistake, even if you had a good reason? "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." - Bible, James 2:10
I guess the point of this thread is what do you think is the path to hell? Do you think that well-meaning people can go to hell just for following this path? When I say hell I also mean figuratively. If someone does an action undeniably wrong but their intent was to help, does this fact lessen the crime?
