Iathen wrote: My name is Antony Perris. 20 years now I take care of my 90-years-old mother. The last 3-4 years she is suffering of Alzheimer and lately she has schizophrenia crises and she has other health problems too. And our Nursing Homes don’t accept so overburdened patients.
The problem is that I haven’t planned to have enough cash in my bank account, because economic crisis occurred suddenly. Although I have enough property, and I sell anything at low prices long now, I’m left without cash and we don’t have enough money for food, and my credit card with 22% rate of interest is full although I rent with 1%. And I have more expenses. I now live a drama.
Unfortunately lately I, myself, have new, very serious health problems. I have no solution. I have enough property but no cash, so without food what happens? Does anyone have any solution.
Strong of the earth for the economic crisis that you created, you deserve hanging, and it is still not enough for you.
None of them should be left.
1) If you want to heal this world
you have to change construction,
before, cause of our inaction,
we get ravaged by decline,
the thieves govern us,
the bankers and the holy-unrobers
and all them minions
R. Without mercy, without pity,
hit them before you get ravaged,
because otherwise in the misery
and in the unfairness you are gonna live,
Without mercy, without pity,
None of them should be left
2) The command says “don’t commit suicide”,
but necessarily you commit suicide,
hit them before they ravage you,
you commit a crime that you stagnate,
let us not be patients of our moral inaction
and our sloth.
That quote was posted on a Greek lyrics-site (and I’ve translated it). Mister Perris posted this song followed with the above comment and then he killed his mother and committed suicide. As some of you may have understood, I’m going to write about Greece. It’s true that I have many nice things to say, such as the beautiful islands, the sea, the sun, the ancient history, statues and monuments. But right now, all those things don’t describe the situation in Greece. I believe that what describes a country is them habitants and here, in Greece, habitants are not happy as the summer that just came is. They are sad, scared, terrified, angry and disappointed.
Why are we in the current situation?
Politicals were stealing for many years the people’s money. Then they sold any public companies (like those that sold energy, phone lines, road fees). Companies that gave profit to the country. But they just sold them because they got illegal money in them pockets and they don’t care about our the country.
Two years ago, Greece entered the International Monetary Fund. Why? Because our politicals are traitors, thieves and incapable. Germany still owe us millions of euros cause of the crimes against humanity that it committed at the second international world. It’s true that Germany has paid
any country but us, when we are one of the countries that suffered the most. Why didn’t we get the money that it owe us but we’ve borrowed money from it instead? Either our politicals are incapable or they had a personal profit from this (such as Germany instead of paying millions to Greece, preferred to pay some thousand euros to Greek politicals so they wouldn’t ask the money that Greece deserved).
But, of course, none is more responsible for this as our politicals are. The people is also responsible for voting them, but those votes can be explained. Politicals made a nice education system that learned people how to
not think. The last class before university teaches us how to study 16 hours per day, 7 days a week in order to pass to the university that we want. So, not many people have the opportunity to get higher education. Whoever is not obedient enough (being smart is not a must), doesn’t have a chance. Of course the manipulation through education is not only Greece’s policy. Many other countries apply it with success (if not all of them).
What I want to say at the last three paragraphs is that people are not responsible for what them politicals do. Of course they are, in a degree, but sometimes there is no way to change the situation that you don’t like, people are sleeping or are fanatic with a comma, politicals give promises that they don’t keep and they also don’t care about the people’s strikes and protests. The fact that our politics stole money, don’t mean that all the Greeks did so. One of our politicals said with overt gall “We ate the money together” but the fact is that we didn’t. If we did so, then why aren’t we both hungry? But only simple people suffer and politicals keep having luxurious lives?
I think that I explained how we ended up borrowing from the IMF, when our lives started to change. I also think that I just answered on those that say “you deserved what happened to you as you are thieves”. Now I can continue to the heart of my article and describe the situation in Greece nowadays.
The exact situation in Greece at the moment
Salaries and pensions got reduced by 30% (at least) and many people lost them jobs. People that work at companies are not usually paid at 1st and 15th of the month, as it is agreed, but later and later till, after 1-1,5 year, they lose 3-4 monthly salaries (so it’s not only that they get reduced money, it’s also that they don’t even get what they worked for). The basic salary is less than 600 euro (750 usd), when everything we buy has a value added tax of 23% and generally everything’s very expensive (compared to other countries with higher basic salary). People that worked for years (paying taxes and insurance), get ridiculous pensions that are not enough for a living.
This economic abjection caused many bad things. The percentage of suicides got increased; I can see everyday people searching the trash, more homeless people; many children have fainted at the schools as them parents didn’t have enough money to give them for food.
The economic crisis is the biggest but it’s not the only problem. The crime rate is sharply increased. Especially now, that people don’t trust them money into the banks but they prefer to hide them at them own houses, thieves rupture more often into houses. Some of them threaten and/or torture them victims till they get enough money. And police does nothing as policemen are scared, and think that it doesn’t worth to risk them lives for the 600 euro salaries that they take. Jails are foul too, so only a few people of those that get caught are not left free just the next day.
Lately the state doesn’t pay for medicine, even for people that need it a lot (medicine for cancer, diabetes etc). It bereaves from the patients the opportunity to fight against them health problem and it sends them to deal with the death. And the most annoying thing is that most of them have paid taxes for health insurance for a lifetime.
Last but not least, the criminality (a big part of which is caused by non Greeks), the traitors politicals that don’t respect the will of the people and the bad education system that learns the people to not think but be fanatic with anything; all those things had as a result the rising of a fascist, racist comma. People vote Gold Dawn (the fascist comma): 1.to save them from the criminals (when Police does nothing, Gold Dawn actually cares and runs to protect the Greeks); 2.To scare and hit (with them hands) the other politicals that are traitors. The problem is that Gold Dawn does not care about what is fair and what’s not. They hit foreigners that are not criminals just because they are racist, they hit people, even Greeks, if they have a different opinion of them. If they managed to get more power, I’m sure that our regime would change to dictatory. But people that vote them, can’t see that. They believe that Gold Dawn really cares for Greece and that they want to save us. But the fact is that they are more dangerous than anyone else; not only for them enemies but also for Greece.
One other bad thing that criminality causes is that people’s way of thinking has changed. At 7 June 2012, a young Greek has killed an Albanian thief. The thief has tried to steal them and he has threaten the killer’s mother with a knife. But then he run away as he understood that more people were in the house. After 2 hours, he tried to break into another house at the same location (not the young man’s house). The man run after him with a shotgun and he shoot him. He said that his aim was not to kill him or even shoot him and that it happened by mistake. But before he says that, many people said “He did the right thing. They steal us, police does nothing, and only if we scare them like this they may stop”. That’s why I think that people’s way of thinking has changed.
We’ve lost the trust to other people, we are more scared. But saying that killing is the right thing is so
wrong (I'm talking about situations like this that it's not self-defence). We have to respect some things. When a human is killed, a world is killed (as Paulo Coelho says at his book “The winner stands alone”). His world is killed, his memories, his future. He does not exist anymore at the lives of the people that knew him. We can’t talk about a death like if it is something insignificant. It’s not possible that we have stopped to
feel what one life’s deletion means. It’s a fact that many people die every day. But death is not just a punishment. It’s the end of a life. I can’t accept that so many people can’t feel how perpetual, irrevocable, inhuman this punishment is. I hope that they keep not thinking, as they’ve learned to. I hope that they will try to think one day and maybe then they will understand why I feel so disappointed and sad about my compatriots. But I’m afraid that it is not that they are not thinking but that they’ve learned to think like this. And this makes me even more sad and disappointed.
We are in a crisis, that seems to not be only economic. It is a crisis in our humanity, our culture, our ethos. I wish we managed to limit it in the economic level because otherwise we will end to be suspicious, vindictive, violent, angry, raped and alone. Even if we get through the economic crisis, the moral crisis will remain and it will haunt us for our whole life.
Conclusion
All started with the manipulation through education, which made people vote the same thieves for years. Next “station” was the economic crisis that had as a result (in combination with the incapable/traitors politicals) all those things. Suicides, murders, criminality, despair, espousal of inhuman way of thinking, difficult and unfair lives. And all know that Greece is just an experiment that they made to see how many things people can stand before they rebel. And it seems that we can stand way too many things. The bad thing is that some people can’t see that what happens here, is not something that we deserve. It’s something that none deserves and none should have to experience. Whatever I said for my compatriots and them way of thinking applies the same to all those people who said that we deserved it. Even if they can’t see us as humans with human rights (feel safe and have dignity are two basic human rights), they should’ve think at least that what happens here can happen in them country too, if the experiment is successful.
That’s Greece today, and I’m afraid that it may get even worse. I just hope that what happens next will make the people come closer and not the opposite.
Note: /* Out of Article */
I know that the subject was “write about your country”. I made many political comments and said my opinion at the subjects, but that’s the point of unfurl one subject. I couldn’t say just 1,2,…10 things without say my opinion (then it wouldn’t have any difference from reading the Greek news). Hope that you have the same standards as I have on writing a composition and also hope that you have enough patience to read all this.
