I have used Photoshop7.0. I have tried to get a transparent background on an image. I have the image surrounded by the checkerboard. But when I placed it into InDesign, it has showed a white background. Can anybody tell me what I do now?

I want to offer some help. But I am using another image processing SDK instead of Photoshop.

Because I prefer the one whose way of processing is simple and fast when I need to do with the image manipulating work.It saves a lot of time for me. It is just one of many but I do appreciate its simple way of processing. Even

For this you can use the different - different gradiants for this or you can take the help of google there is many tutorials are available.

Here's how to make image background transparent in Photoshop:

1) Run Photoshop and load your image: Start Photoshop and open your image using "File -> Open" command.

2) Save the image: The next thing you must do is to save the image with a different file name. This will ensure that the original file remains available in case something goes wrong. To save the file with a different file name click on "File -> Save As" and choose a different file name. Make sure the file type is the same as that of the original image.

3) Create new layer: Next you must create a new transparent layer in the layer palette. Simply click on "Create a new layer" icon in the layer palette and drag the new empty layer to the bottom of the layers palette. The new layer will have checkered background which indicates that it has a transparent background.

4) Select background to remove: Next you need to select the background that you want to remove. Depending on the shape of the background that you want to be remove, you can use different tools to perform this task. However the simplest way to select the background is to use magnetic wand or lasso tool. Once selected, the background will have a dotted line around it.

5) Delete background: Once you have selected the background, you can simply delete it. Press the delete button of your keyboard to delete the background. You will see that the image now has a transparent background.
