We've been working on a banner/logo for our forum. We've agreed on a design, but we need it to be more ... professional to say the least.

This is what we're looking for along the lines:

In terms of the logo itself, the text should be more smooth and refined.

Type of creation : Logo edit
Size of the image : Keep size

Subtext to add: Community Reviews
Color for subtext: same color as the 'purely' text for each
Font: Anything readable, nothing fancy. A plain old serif font will work.

Background color : Keep transparent
Any special effects to be added : If possible maybe a liquid ooze dripping from the 'purely' text that is the same color as the text for added effect. It's hard to explain ooze, but something like this for example: http://www.offworld.com/82643896_sl_2liquid-lamp-sho4img_assist_custom.jpg


Here are the two logos. They are the same, just the the 'purely' text is different colors to match our different themes.

As mentioned above by fred100, Please use the template provided to the thread link freed100 gave, graphic designers won't be answering your request if you will not use the template provided.

I organized everything into the template, hopefully that should clear things up.

Not to be rude, but I have to ask. What should I add or remove to make things more understandable? Do I have to make a whole new request, because I don't feel I should be reqesting a whole new logo. I like the style of the one I have and it would be easier to just have it altered. But I don't know, is it easier for you to just make a new logo?

We'll have to understand the GFX staff that their handling several requests at the moment, I'm sure they're going to work on this soon You can bump this request only every after 24 hours and we'll just need to wait for them

Bumping a graphics tread will not help you getting it fulfilled faster, as we trying to fulfill the oldest request first.

I'm not really sure what you're requesting.
As you just wanted an edit do you want the same font for "purely" and "review" as the images you provided?

Yes, please. Keep the "purely" and "review" text, that's part of the logo. I would like it edited to look more professional with smoother edges, sharper text, outlines, glossy effects, etc...

Well, then you need to give me the names of the fonts that's used, since I need to redo everything.

For the "purely" text I used a font called Eight Track Program 3.
ex: http://www.abstractfonts.com/font/3050

As for the "review" text, I used the glossy style in cooltext, but it's a font called NeverSayDie
ex: http://www.fontfinder.ws/7277/Never-Say-Die.html

Thanks. but the NeverSayDie font can't be correct. Check out for example the "r" on the font page and then compare it to the r in the image. It has to be another font.
I will of course use the NeverSayDie font if you want to have that instead.

I never noticed that, but I could have sworn... Anyways you can use that font, I think it looks better for it anyways.

I think I found the font that was used...
Well, not what I expected, but something like this perhaps.

Yes, I really like the text on that one. It's almost perfect but I just noticed this one thing. For one, I don't know, I thought the slime effect would be a good touch, but now it seems distracting and now that I think it doesn't have much to do with the theme. So you can completely get rid of that effect. I apologize, but everything else is perfect, really.

And remember that there are two versions for the theme. A red and blue, so just another copy of the one you made only where the "purely" text has a blue outline.
