Can we have a graphics request forum on here? There are many good designers who can work on members requests.

Actually, I thought there already was a graphic request section here, or am I going mad lol? I voted yes, anyway.

SophieDophs, there is a graphic discussion forum & a show off sub forum.
We were getting requests in the graphic discussion forum itself.
Also, in the graphic suggestion, members were already suggesting a request forum.

I say no, this forum is dedicated to coding. There are many other forums where you can get graphic requests and are dedicated to graphics. Also, if we do this, we'll have to make a new group of GFX Designers which is quite unneeded in my opinion.

I still say no because there is still no large need for a request section.

Its still a 50-50 affair.

Sanket, I think you should start paying more attention not to who won the pole, but how much the winner won by. If you have a vote that is almost even but one has a little more an gets accepted, you can potentially drive some of the opposing members away. You have a much lower chance of doing that if the vote is a bit more unanimous.

I have not deduced based on who won the poll. My comment was just to bump the topic up, to get more votes. I know, you are against the idea of having a GFX request forum. But, to be honest in my personal opinion i would love to have a gfx request section.
Also our opinions, or comments are never to drive away anyone. Polls are there to find an idea of what people think. Thats the reason a poll is a must in the suggestions section.
If people get driven away because some members have a different opinion on some thing?? Its time to Grow Up !

But are we not getting a graphics request section with a poll that is 3 to 2? I'm not putting suggestions down because I don't like them, I'm just saying that if you keep approving suggestions that barely win the poll then the site could become "bad" to some users and it would drive them away. I'm not speaking of doing this on one or two polls, I'm talking about every poll. Things add up.

We have not really taken the decision of opening a gfx request forum just based on the poll. Veljko, had suggested this right at the beginning when webartz was opened. After a long chat we decided we won't add the gfx request forum at such an initial stage. But decided we could add it sometime later, after a while.

So thats about the GFX thing.

With any other suggestions, its impossible to satisfy all users at the same time. But, we won't add anything that would be a problem for some other user. The perfect example was the theme changer. Since IE users faced the problem, we promptly removed the theme changer. We will do everything for the betterment of the forum, if there are any problems caused due to it we will definitely remove it
