Just started yesterday, but I practiced on GIMP a lot before that.

The stroke on logo is riped off. A bit of contrast should be usefull on first image. All in all, nice for the first time.

Text is tooo high in opacity, I'd lower it down. Wink
Also, I've been seeing a lot of Wallpapers with Earths in them; it gets annoying. xD
Maybe next time you can make something uniquer.
