In Web Designing, not really. I do get requests sometimes, but then I take payment for it. Web Designing takes mostly a lot of time and precision to do. But, I will be making a site in not too long, and then I will be posting out free psd files from my previous web design.

Avian I think its a matter of taste! I bet you like those dark gloomy sites, while I like those crisp lighter sites. I like simplicity and the freshness in Fellon's designs.
I really don't think Fellon is that interested how much money your friend are making or how good he/she is. There's a lot of people making money everywhere.
Why don't you try to give Fellon some creative critique instead.

I hope your freelancing or gonna be. What I like about all your web design work is that its clean, non complex, the right balance and genuine look.

Your deviantART site concept is awesome. My first reaction was, The future of deviantART Site? Very Happy

Only two things I would change in my opinion.
(No hate against your work.)

Search box - It sticks out to much. I would try blending it to fit better with the header.
Body width - I would widen it out 100% like deviantART website and drop the outside borders. On gallery sites, you want to display as much work as you can on one page.

Keep up the good work.
