I think you've done a great job! Fast and clean!
I would have done the content wrapper a little wider since the 800x600 resolution is nowadays used by the minority.

Also, the background image is way too highlighting. It would be better to make it light color so the visitor's focus will be on the website content only.

As Green CoW said, I'd make the wrapper the standard size which is 980px or 990px :/
